APIRANANEWS

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all. For many, 2018 was a difficult year - our prayer is that this year will be a better one. May you know the peace that passes all understanding and the love and forgiveness extended to us all through what Jesus did 2000 years ago. For us, 2019 begins with a two-month tour of New Zealand. We will spend February and March traveling from Waitangi in the far north of the North Island to Dunedin in the southern region of the South Island. This tour we will play mostly in Churches, with a smattering of community concerts throughout. You will find a full itinerary and short bio below.

 A short Bio:

Making a name for himself as a solo artist back in the nineties, Steve mixes his highly tuned gift as communicator, guitarist and vocalist, with an extraordinary sense of humour. Eclectic in style, he specialises in blues and gospel, and over the 40 years of his career has played with some of the best. He first took to the stage in Butler, then joined gospel band Judah, started up sixties spoof rock band “The Velvettes”, then toured solo. In more recent years he has teamed up with his wife Ainsley, to bring a new side to his unique gift. Together they captivate audiences in a way that very few can.

Ainsley began her career as a musician alongside Steve back in 2001 when she released her first album, Autumn. She has since gone on to record Cappuccinos and Vanilla Squares, and performs on guitar whistle and flute alongside Steve on each of their tours.

Their mission is to bring encouragement and hope to people in all walks of life through the message of the gospel; to share their songs and their stories of the triumphs and struggles they meet as they travel the world. Find a venue near you and come and enjoy some good music, good stories and good humour from the duo.
